Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby

This comes as she has demanded a quick trial to resolve this matter before her next election.

It's not clear why Mosby made this move. But, it comes just more than a week before she's scheduled for a federal court hearing on the case against her. 

Mosby faces perjury charges. She's also accused of making false statements on her mortgage applications. 

She's accused of filing misleading information and paperwork for loan applications relating to the purchase of two vacation homes in Florida.

Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby is speaking out against Gov. Larry Hogan. She's accusing the governor of criticizing Baltimore and its leaders to score political points.

This comes after Baltimore surpassed 300 homicides for the 7th year in a row.
