Most notably, one the measures repeals of the Law Enforcement Officers Bill of Rights. Critics said job protections during the police disciplinary process impedes accountability.

Aid is coming to thousands of Marylanders struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Last week, State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Salmon said schools would get a combined $781 million in additional federal funding to help with reopening and COVID-19 recovery.

There's relief coming for Maryland families, individuals and small businesses reeling from the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The order doesn't include the states that border Maryland like Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington, D.C. and Virginia.

Phase 1A will have an anticipated 155,000 initial doses, with 50,700 doses coming from Pfizer and 104,300 from Moderna. 

It comes as the state readies a campaign to convince the public to trust the vaccine.
