According to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, breast cancer cases declined 40 percent in the past 30 years. Despite medical advancements in treatment and screenings, significant disparities in mortality rates continue. 

To the casual listener, there might be nothing wrong with this conversation. But therein lies the problem with it. Normalizing talking points meant to undermine advancement while engaging in intellectually dishonest commentary only emboldens groups who deal in dishonesty.

A new initiative has been launched to create pathways for Black innovators in the comic book industry.

This will be the station's first upgrade in nearly 40 years. Plans include community development, track service, and a collection of station upgrades.

The new initiative comes as the Department of Justice reached a settlement against Trustmark for engaging in lending discrimination. An investigation found Trustmark engaged in unlawful redlining by avoiding Black and Latino neighborhoods in Memphis through lending and opening branches. Trustmark was also found to have sufficient internal policies to address the issues.
