The woman accused of stabbing her stepmother, Jacquelyn Smith, to death in December is no longer charged with murder.
According to Valeria Smith’s attorney, she is now charged as an accessory after the fact.
“It’s been our belief all along that her father [Keith Smith] took advantage of her,” said Brandon Mead, Defense Attorney.
If you remember, Keith Smith alleged his wife was killed in a panhandler attack back in December 2018. Police discovered that wasn’t the case in March of this year.
