The trial for Dawnta Harris, the teenager accused of killing Baltimore County police officer Amy Caprio, is set to begin Monday.
Police say 17-year-old Dawnta Harris and three other teens were breaking into homes in Perry Hall last May.
Harris was the driver of a stolen jeep and is accused of hitting and killing officer Amy Caprio. He is being charged with first degree murder.
Harris’s attorney Warren Brown said that the state will need to prove the now 17-year-old intentionally hit Officer Caprio with the Jeep he was driving resulting in her death.
