An audit began Tuesday on the business dealings between University of Maryland Medical System board members and outside entities.
Three members have already resigned including Baltimore City Mayor Catherine Pugh, who announced a leave of absence from the mayoral office Monday.

Four others, and the UMMS President and CEO are also taking a leave of absence.
Interim CEO John Ashworth told CBS Baltimore there were “missteps” with the inside deals, but vows patient care will not be directly affected.
