Baltimore City Executive Appointments Committee voted to confirm acting Police Commissioner Michael Harrison for the job.
The five-member executive appointments committee ballooned into 10 elected officials at the Wednesday night meeting.
Harrison stood before City Council members Wednesday, answering questions at his confirmation hearing.
Topics ranged from morale, to the war on drugs, violence and accountability.
