Baltimore County Police confirmed they are investigating an assault of a teacher by a student at Loch Raven High School.
According to officials, police were dispatched to Loch Raven High School shortly after 8:30 a.m. after a student assaulted a teacher.
The student started the altercation with the teacher by striking him in the face with his fist, officials said.
Officials say they contacted a school resource officer for help, and that officer then requested additional backup from police. Several emergency response vehicles were sent to the school for further assistance.
