Some of Baltimore’s top leaders are speaking out after President Donald Trump axed his visit to Baltimore earlier this week.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Mayor Catherine Pugh, Gov. Larry Hogan and U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings are now saying through spokespersons they won’t be attending the newly scheduled White House meeting.

Democrats Cummings and Pugh blamed scheduling conflicts.

Gov. Hogan, a republican, apparently didn’t plan to take part either way.

President Donald Trump has reportedly canceled his visit to Baltimore.

According to CBS Baltimore, a source from U.S. Rep Elijah Cummings office told the station the meeting will now be held at the White House.

President Donald Trump is expected to visit Baltimore this week after a pastor requested the visit with hopes of attracting federal funding for distressed communities in the city.

Donte Hickman, a Pastor at Southern Baptist Church in Baltimore, invited Trump to visit the city and see the work that is being done.

Donte Hickman, said there is a great deal of opinion about the president and this visit, but he said the money that is at stake is public, not partisan.
