Gun Violence Continues To Plague Chicago, Over 1,000 Shootings For Year To Date

Six people were shot in one hour Friday night around Baltimore City.

The first shooting happened a little bit after 9:00 p.m. on Mello Court in E. Baltimore. Police found a 43-year-old man who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Johns Hopkins hospital and later died.

The second shootings happened 15 minutes later in NW Baltimore on Reisterstown Road off of Westbury Avenue. A 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at Sinai Hospital while the second victim, 32-year olds, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Then around 9:25 p.m. police were called to another shooting on East 22nd Street near Guilford Avenue. A 27-year-old man shooting victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The last shooting happened at 35 minutes later on Ready Avenue in NE Baltimore. City Police say the victims are a 19-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man.
