The city of Charleston, South Carolina is still in heavy mourning after Dylann Roof opened fire inside of the historical Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, killing nine black people.

As the gunman is currently in police custody at a detention center back in the state, video footage of his arrest in Shelby, North Carolina has been released to the public.

Dash cam footage from police vehicles show four officers approaching Roof’s car, after he traveled nearly 250 miles outside of Charleston, where they frisked and handcuffed him as he stepped out of his car.

The video shows Roof making no reaction to the authorities handling him, including one black office who gave him a thorough pat-down.

Audio has also been released by authorities after motorist Debbie Dills spotted Roof in his vehicle in the North Carolina town, and alerted her boss at Frady Florist. Her boss then made a 911 call to the Shelby Police Department.

Following the arrest, the 21-year-old waived extradition back to South Carolina, where he is currently being held on $1 million bail, facing nine counts of murder.
