A 15-year-old boy was robbed and brutally attacked yesterday while riding the L train. As the horrific incident occurred, a bystander caught it all on video.
In what police are calling a gang attack, the teenager was first attack on the train, and he tried to escape at the Atlantic Avenue stop. The assailants followed him and grabbed his phone, pants and shoes before leaving him lying on the platform.
Witnesses proceeded to call 911 and the boy was taken to the hospital for head injuries. As of yesterday, authorities are still looking for suspects.
Community advocate Tony Herbert says:
What is happening nowadays is a group of teens will walk up to another group of teens, whether they be two or more, and ask what gang they reppin, then in a flash of a second the assault begins.
We hope the young boy fully recovers.
