Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Showcase
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During this month MERDJ Media Group and SwaggNation will participate in the long-term fight to expose and educate young women in the community about breast cancer.
Hip Hop In Pink showcased local talent and featured musical performances, monologues and guest speakers who will discuss the importance of breast health and early detection. Featured artists included Lolo Monroe, Keys, Get Em Mamis, Si-Notes, Golden Seal, Igima, Jacquie Brown, Selah Chick, Ashley Moore and The Mighty Paradox.
If you were not able to make it to this hott event, checked out who you missed.
A portion of the proceeds went to the non profit organization, Heal A Woman To Heal A Nation, Inc., a community based organization that promotes holistic wellness for women and families through education, economics, physical and mental health.
The event was hosted by WOLB 1010AM’s Civil Jones and AngelBaby of 92Q’s Rap Attack.
Hip Hop In Pink has been adopted as an event that will celebrate Radio One’s 30th Anniversary of community service.
Thanks to all who came out in support.
