City and state education officials uncovered major cheating on tests at George Washington Elementary School in southwest Baltimore. Of hundreds of tests reviewed, thousands of erasure marks were changed from wrong to right. The principal of the school had her professional license revoked as a result of this investigation. No staff members acknowledged taking part in altering the test booklets so the principal was ultimately held responsible.

Baltimore City School CEO Andres Alonso said evidence of deception is real at the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and believes the principal should be held accountable.
