Acting Baltimore City Mayor Jack Young is calling for new steps to be taken in how the City moves forward in its agreement with Associated Black Charities to run the City’s Children and Youth Fund.
In a letter sent to ABC, Young states that he wants to ensure that the fund is being appropriately used and still holds the youth of Baltimore in its best interests.
Reports show that ABC received payments from multiple entities for the charity to purchase and distribute Healthy Holly books. In letters sent to the city ethics board, ABC wrote they bought $87,000 worth of books from Mayor Pugh’s Healthy Holly, LLC.
