Baltimoreâs interim police commissioner withdraws from consideration for permanent job

Former Baltimore Police Commissioner Darryl De Sousa will spend 10 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to tax evasion.

De Sousa was facing up to three years in prison.

The Judge ordered De Sousa to perform 100 hours of community service and pay restitution in the full amount of the government’s loss which is $67,587.72 counting payments already made. He still owes more than $60,000.
