Baltimore City Fire Officials are investigating an overnight fire that left one man dead in the Southeast section of the city.

Crews were called to the intersection of Bentalou Street and McHenry Street just before 3:00 a.m. Monday. They were able to rescue one man who was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
A secondary search resulted in the discovery of a man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fire crews were also busy battling another fire just a block away. This one started in a vacant bar and spread to a home next door.
No injuries were reported.
