Baltimore County Police are investigating the death of an officer who was shot today (May 21) in Perry Hall.

The female officer was responding to a call for suspicious activity involving a vehicle on Linwen Way. During that time, police began searching for an armed suspect and residents were advised to seek shelter. Motorists have also been advised to stay clear of Belair Road from Forge Road to Ebenezer Road due to “heavy police activity,” according to ABC 2 News.

She was rushed to Franklin Square Hospital, first listed in critical condition, before being reported dead.
