Across the Baltimore area, customers are being turned away from more than a dozen businesses that were raided by federal agents on Tuesday morning as reported by foxbaltimore.com.

The owners of 14 stores were arrested following a federal investigation into food stamp fraud.They have been charged with stealing more than $16 million altogether from taxpayers.

At the New Sherwood Market in Idlewylde at the edge of the city, a sign on the door says the business is closed.
