A former career U.S. Department of Justice employee received a seven-year prison sentence on Thursday for traveling across state lines to engage in a sexual act with a minor foxbaltimore.com reports.

U.S. District Judge Ellen Hollander handed the sentence down to 55-year-old James Cicala of Columbia, Md. Cicala pled guilty to the charge.

An investigation revealed he used his federally issued work phone and computer to communicate with an undercover detective posing as a 15-year-old girl and arranged to travel from his Fenwick, Del., beach house to Berlin, Md., to engage in sexual activity with the supposed juvenile.
