UPDATE: 12:08 p.m. ET
According to new reports, Young Thug was arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot a mall cop in the face. The incident went down on July 7 at the Perimeter Mall in Atlanta. After he was asked to leave the premises, Thugga allegedly became irate and began threatening mall security while being escorted out the mall.
Today is not a good day for Young Thug.
The Atlanta rapper was arrested in the wee hours of the morning for an outstanding warrant issued by the Dunwoody, Georgia Police Department.
“The 22-year-old rapper, whose birth name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested without incident around 6 a.m. at a residence in Sandy Springs, according to Jim Joyner, spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.”
Apparently, a warrant was issued for the Barter 6 rapper charging him with alleged terroristic threats.
No word on what those threats included, or any details surrounding the event leading to these charges, but Thugga is scheduled to appear in front of a Dekalb County judge for a bond hearing.
Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
