Jonathan Nelson is one of America’s top gospel artists. He attended Baltimore School for the Arts and Morgan State University. Nelson got his big break singing backup for Karen Clark-Sheard and he and some friends later formed the group Purpose.
Jonathan later wrote a song recorded by Grammy-nominated choir leader Donald Lawrence titled “Healed” which won him Stellar Award for Songwriter of the Year in 2006. Nelson went on to write a number of songs for top gospel artists around the world. Nelson’s latest project Finish Strong was released in 2013.
