The studio owns the movie. Ice Cube is a owner of the franchise but in order to do that movie you got to go through some loop holes and a lot of red tape to make it happen. New line cinema owns the whole roster and Ice Cube will have to do a new deal with them and I don’t think that studio makes black movies anymore.
