Governor Martin O’Malley stopped by the Radio One studios today for a q&a session with 1010 WOLB’s Larry Young. While there he spoke to members from the iVote committee and presented them with a governor’s citation.

iVote is a movement to educate, empower, encourage young adults about the power, impact and credibility of voting. They do this by creating awareness through technology, entertainment and activism. They strive to prove that young adults don’t have to be disenfranchised, but they can build connections with officials in office to bridge the gap.

We can be united, accountable, and proactive members of society. When we say iVote, we mean that one does matter!

The kick off event for iVote concert/after party will be held Bourbon Street 316 Guilford Avenue in Baltimore, MD 21202 on Tuesday, March 29, 2011.

The event will have appearance by elected officials, music performances; information on the political systems and an area to register to vote.
