A New Jersey police chief who allegedly wrote an email defending racial profiling of "suspicious Black people in White neighborhoods," has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into the correspondence.

The move comes after the fatal shooting of Jamar Clark, the Black man who was killed by two Minneapolis cops last fall. His death sparked months of protests to release the video of his shooting and prosecute the officers involved.

Ken Johnson, 35, opened fire while pursuing the fleeing teenagers, identified as Jose Cruz and Edgar Rodriguez, in his vehicle. The boys were allegedly attempting to break into an SUV, which was parked in his apartment building's parking lot.

Veteran San Antonio police officer John Lee is expected to be terminated for shooting and killing an unarmed Black man last month.

The video, which shows the unidentified officer slapping the teenager twice -- loud enough to hear the impact -- before kicking he or she as they walk down the stairs, has prompted the suspension of both officers involved in the incident.

A 911 caller reported that a Black male wearing a hoodie and a bandana was waving a firearm in the parking lot at about 7:15 p.m. Friday night. Officers who arrived on the scene told the teenager to stop walking northbound on Electric Road. When he did not comply with their commands, police twice-attempted to stun Spencer with a Taser.

The cop fired his service weapon, striking the girl's father in the arm. The bullet passed through him, hitting Ciara and killing her.

Two individuals, identified as a 19-year-old college student and a 55-year-old-woman, were fatally shot by Chicago police as officers were responding to a domestic dispute early Saturday morning.

Wednesday's demonstration, if permitted, comes a year after more than 1500 activists staged a die-in at the mall to bring awareness to police violence in the wake of the deaths of Michael Brown Jr., Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, John Crawford and more.
