Caitlin Clark Will Miss Fever’s Matchup In Baltimore

Rising WNBA star Caitlin Clark will be absent from the Indiana Fever lineup when they face the Washington Mystics on Wednesday, May 28, at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. The team announced Monday that Clark is dealing with a left quad strain and is expected to be out for at least two weeks.
The Fever did not specify when Clark sustained the injury, but said further updates will follow after she undergoes additional evaluation.
Clark played nearly 38 minutes in Saturday’s narrow 90–88 loss to the New York Liberty, finishing with 18 points and 10 assists. Indiana currently holds a 2–2 record and may have to compete without their standout rookie for at least the next four games.
So far this season, Clark is averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game.
Clark’s anticipated appearance in Baltimore had driven ticket prices significantly higher. According to The Baltimore Banner, secondary market tickets through StubHub were averaging around $350, a sharp increase tied directly to Clark’s growing fan base and the excitement surrounding her rookie season.
The Fever are still scheduled to return to Baltimore on Sept. 7 for another matchup against the Mystics.
