Join us for a momentous celebration of Malcolm’s 100th birthday! We are thrilled to present Dr. Maulana Karenga, a pivotal figure who had a complex yet impactful relationship with Brother Malcolm. This relationship was marked by deep admiration as well as significant differences in approach. Both icons fiercely championed Black nationalism and advocated for Black power, working tirelessly to uplift and empower the Black community. Dr. Karenga not only admired Malcolm’s extraordinary contributions to the Nation of Islam but also drew inspiration from his ideas, which he is now weaving into a compelling new book about Malcolm.

Before Dr. Karenga takes the mic, we’ll hear from journalist A. Peter Bailey, one of the last individuals to converse with Malcolm before his tragic assassination, retraces Malcolm’s final steps at the Audubon Ballroom. Additionally, Malcolm’s nephew, Rodnell Collins, will offer a rare glimpse into the family dynamics surrounding his legendary uncle.

We’re also excited to have journalist Jeff Gallop share his innovative plans to educate our youth about Malcolm’s enduring legacy.
