The Maryland General Assembly continues to debate a controversial immigration bill which would prohibit local law enforcement authorities from questioning citizens about their immigration status.
The measure, entitled the “Maryland Law Enforcement and Governmental Trust Act” was approved Monday by the House of Delegates, but a similar bill has not faced a vote in a senate committee.
