According to reports, a man who claimed to be playing with his 3-year-old stepson fatally struck the little boy in the abdomen.
Houston police have charged Jorge Armando Rodriguez-Escaramuza, 24, with felony murder.
Rodriguez-Escaramuza said he was “play boxing” with the child on November 2 when he hit the child. Court documents show the mother of the boy, 20, did not take the child to receive medical attention until two days had already passed.
