Co-Founder of U Empower of Maryland Michelle Suazo said the non-profit has provided food to families in need through a program called The Food Project, jobs for at-risk youth as well as other vital services for the past seven years.

Gov. Hogan said Maryland is better positioned than it was in the spring and is better prepared than most other states to fight the virus.

“There’s no reason to stop counting votes,” one demonstrator said.

Revenue from the activity would be used for education.

Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-to-1 in the state.
