Fox 4 reports, “He was screaming at us, cursing at us, calling us the ‘n-word’ and he came down to the middle of his yard, and I was like ‘who are you talking too,’ and he said ‘come within arm’s reach and I’ll show you who I’m talking to,'” the 12-year-old Malikai Villatte who was harmed said. The man, however, says he reacted in self-defense.

Vincent Cerfalo, 27, says the incident started when Villatte and a group of kids were blocking traffic near his home. He told Fox 4 that after confronting the kids, they walked onto his yard and surrounded him.

To the the family of Villate’s surprise, Cerfalo is pressing charges against Malikai Villate for assault; the case has been sent to the State Attorney’s Office for review.
