Six officers charged in Freddie Gray death

Source: Baltimore City Police Department / Handout

The trials for the officers involved in the Fredde Gray case continued today. In the third day of proceedings for Lt. Brian Rice, the judge has dismissed his assault charges in the death of Freddie Gray. The judge dismissed the charges because “the state failed to prove Rice acted in concert with someone else to prove an assault charge,” according to WBAL.

At this moment, Rice still faces 3 more charges- manslaughter, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office charges.

Rice is the officer who initiated the pursuit of Gray.
