Tagg Romney said he wanted to punch him. Ann Coulter called him “the retard.” And now, Sarah “I can see Russia from my house” Palin has accused the 44th President of the United States of America, President Barack Obama, of shucking and jiving in his response on Libya.
Yes, via Facebook and Twitter, she accused the first Black U.S. president of being a corn-shucking, jive-talking, dishonest Negro, if one is to go by the definitive origin of the phrase.
Republicans have been clinging desperately to the Benghazi narrative, even though President Obama has continuously said that his response changed when the intelligence he received changed. From day one, however, he has called it an “act of terror,” something that GOP presidential hopeful, Mitt Romney, will not soon forget after the second debate:
As previously reported by NewsOne, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton insisted on taking responsibility for the security lapse that led to the terrorist attack on the embassy in Benghazi. Obama applauded her hard work but said that, ultimately, the “buck” stopped with him.
This isn’t the first time that the president has been accused of shucking and jiving. In 2008, when Clinton bested Obama in the New Hampshire primary, former Attorney General and current New York governor, Andrew Cuomo, had this to say:
‘It’s not a TV crazed race. Frankly you can’t buy your way into it. You can’t shuck and jive at a press conference. All those moves you can make with the press don’t work when you’re in someone’s living room.”
Of course, he said that he wasn’t referring specifically to Obama, rather offering his opinion on politicians in general. He had nothing to fear, however, his statement fit in nicely with all the Mau-Mau and Birther talk of the 2008 election.
Palin’s comment comes on the heels of Jason Thompson, the son of former Wisconsin governor, Tommy Thompson, saying that with this election conservatives had the opportunity to send the president “back to Chicago or Kenya.”
Maybe we should just set aside a day so they can all sit around and call the president a n***er until they go hoarse. It is painfully obvious that everything else they say is merely code for that one word that they can’t.
