The suspects who attacked transgender woman Christy Lee Polis in a Maryland McDonald’s restaurant are now facing hate-crime charges.
Two young women, ages 18 and 14, are facing hate-crime charges for the brutal attack that ended up making its way on the internet. They were also charged with hitting the McDonald’s employee who tried to stop the attack.
The lawyer for the two suspects charged claim her clients were only defending themselves.
