The 44 year old Oscar winning actress, Halle Berry considered the idea of playing the role of Queen of Soul Arethea Franklin in a biopic. Arethea Franklin herself has stated “Halle Berry is my pick” to play an adult Aretha. The only thing is Ms.Berry has gone on record to say “I adore Aretha…ADORE her,”, “but I’m sure she would want the actress to sing.”.Ms.Berry also said that “I would absolutely entertain the idea; it would be an honor for anyone to play her,”
