Theater Cleared In Discrimination Case

Dover, Delaware– UPDATE: The Delaware Supreme Court ruled on February 17th 2011 that the white movie theater manager, David Stewart,  did not discriminate against a theater mostly full of black patrons when he gave an announcement prior to a showing of “Why Did I Get Married” in 2007.

We originally reported that the Human Relations commissions ordered the Carmike theater to pay the patrons in the 2007 ruling. The theater was actually vindicated by the Delaware Supreme Court days prior, which we failed to report.
