Our Beloved Enfenetee Has Passed Away
Our beloved ENFENETEE passed on Sunday September 11, 2011. This young firecracker, has always been, a ray of light and a real, true and genuine friend to all who knew her. Enfenetee was the brainchild behind the Larry Young Morning show “Sheroes” segment. She realized a way to bring more female listenership to the LYMS and presented LY with the ideal. Several years later the segment is still going strong.

That’s what I set out to see on May 7th where the second annual Brothers Who Can Cook event was taking place in Baltimore Md. The event featured 50 Black men who brought their signature dishes to prove that men can cook and sometimes better then women.

The debate still continues on whether are not being natural is a hindrance in a corporate America. Some people think that when a woman of color wears her hair in its natural state that it is not “work appropriate” and that it would be difficult to move up the corporate ladder with an “ethnic” hairstyle.

Former Chicago Bears safety Dave Duerson died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. He had informed (his family) at some point that he wanted his brain to be studied so people could learn more about the effect of brain trauma and so kids could play the game more safely in the future.
