Starting January 1 minimum wage workers in 13 states and four cities, including Prince George’s County and Montgomery County, will see an increase in their paychecks. The increase is set to go from $7.25 to 9.55 in October. The law proposes to raise minimum wage to $11.50 in 2017.
Other states partaking in the increase are New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Oregon, Vermont and Washington.
