On Thursday, May 26, 2011, on The Larry Young Morning Show there was a Special Edition : The State Argues that HBCU (Historically Black College’s and Universities)  are Not Needed – A Civil Rights Lawsuit .This special edition was to support Historical Black Colleges and Universities; and to voice its vehement opposition to the Maryland Higher Education Commission’s motion of summary judgment to have an entire Civil Rights law suit thrown-out even before it reaches the United States District Court in June 2011; and to also express how appalled it is that an Assistant Attorney General would compare and belittle the importance of education of students at HBCU with a fictional movie.

On Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 8:00am - 10:00am on The Larry Young Morning Show there was a discussion, Civil Rights vs. Hip Hop: Chasm of Disrespect Separates 2 Generations. This was a discussion which included the older and younger generation and there is a gap currently. One of the questions that the panel touched on was how can the older generation communicate?  & how is it that the younger generation can learn from the older generation and vice versa?
